This box is usually occupied by Noctules. A MLX90614 temperature sensor measures the temperature at the entrance (bottom) of the box. The body temperature of a bat shows as a short peak. An algorithm tries to count the number of bats, but currently it is very inaccurate and needs some more tweaking.

We are also working with different PIR sensors and some other sensor, like the Ardubat and radar-sensors, depending on the situation.
